Useful Information for Ordering Prints

Prints & Colours

We offer a wide range of colour choices to fit with most interior colour schemes.

To help you find the right print colour we have created swatch cards. If you are looking for a specific shade we recommend ordering a swatch before placing your final print order.

We try to represent colours as accurately as possible but computer screens vary and colours can vary.

The swatch colour cards are printed on the same paper with the same pigment inks as your finished print so you can choose your colour knowing what you’re your finished print will look like.

About our Prints & Frames

We work with a reputable and experienced framing company who we trust to offer our customers an excellent quality framing service.

Sizing Information

Prints are available in different sizes and formats; e.g. Landscape, square or both and some designs are available in a Portrait format. They have specific size codes assigned to each option e.g. LA1 refers to landscape format size 1 etc.

SQ1 refers to square format size 1 etc.

Code NS refers to image sizes that aren’t our standard format, for example NS1 refers to Non-Standard format size 1 etc.

You can also check each print size options in the drop down menu at the side of each print image.

Two sizes appear, the smaller size is the actual image size and the larger size in brackets, includes the white space around the image where the mount will sit.

Frames are available in 3 size profiles. The size refers to the profile visible on the front of the frame.

The frame size is appropriate to the size of finished picture.

Sizes:

20mm Matt black painted wood

20mm Matt white painted wood

20mm Natural oak wood veneer

(This 20mm size is generally used for the smaller sizes, e.g. LA1, LA2, SQ1, SQ2, NS7, NS11 etc.)

30mm Matt black painted wood

30mm Matt white painted wood

30mm Natural oak wood veneer

(This 30mm size is generally used for the larger sizes, e.g. LA3, SQ3, NS8, NS12 etc.)

7mm Black Matt Aluminium.

This thin profile can be used on every size frame due to the strength of the metal, so if you prefer a frame you hardly notice, this is the frame choice for you.

Mounts are included in our framing option. We use a white mount with a black core, so when the aperture bevel is cut by the framer, a fine black is revealed which frames the image. We feel this enhances the overall look of the finished picture.

Frames are backed with an MDF backing board and fitted with D rings and wire hanging cord.

Ethical Credentials - Our Framing Partner

Our frames are handmade in Britain.

Our framing partner has excellent ethical credentials and selects beautiful materials from their own ethical suppliers.

Paper we use is Somerset Velvet 355gsm, acid free archival paper with a velvety smooth soft surface texture. Made from 100% cotton fibres.

Wood is harvested from forests that are managed to meet the social, economic and ecological needs of present and future generations.  Wood suppliers hold PEFC ™ and FSC ™ Chain of Custody certifications.

MDF used for our backing boards are made from wood fibres that are also sourced from PEFC ™ and FSC ™ managed forests. The generated waste is used to generate electricity for the manufacturers factories.

Acrylic Glazing

We use acrylic glazing produced in Europe as a glass substitute. It doesn’t scratch easily with the right care and has a high UV resistance which filters out 99% of UV light, so your print will be protected from wear and damaging sunlight for many years and it doesn’t yellow over time.

Frame/Acrylic care

To avoid minor scratches, which can impact on the clarity of the acrylic, remove your picture from the wall and using a damp micro-fibre cloth which has been rung out and not overly damp as this will reduce static, wipe the acrylic surface gently, then wipe again with a dry micro-fibre cloth to remove any water marks or remaining dirt, then re-hang.
