The reason why we class the mugs as seconds vary. Some may have small scratches, others have a small fleck but none of the seconds affect the use of the mug.

Some examples of 'marks' are shown in the photos.

Our mugs are dishwasher safe but it is important to read and follow our care instructions to maintain the quality of the glaze and vibrancy of the colours.

Dishwashers can be harmful to glazes and will eventually cause colours to fade if harsh detergents are used.

Red can be a problematic colour and is more prone to fading if not cared for appropriately.

We recommend a gentle dishwasher cycle (glass/crystal) with a mild liquid detergent.

Hand washing is preferred and colours will be maintained for many years.
